Ryzen 5 2400g VS GTX 1050 Playing Fortnite & PUBG

hey what’s going on guys it’s brain being here again and in this video we’re going to be doing another test of the risin 5 2400 G APU now what I’m going to be doing in this one is putting it up against the GTX 1050 and the idea here is obviously just to see which one performs better or how much more performance you get out of having that dedicated graphics card now the GTX 1050 right now retails for about  which is right around the same price as this APU now obviously that GPU is going to be in addition to having a processor.

But it’s still going to be interesting to see if it’s worth spending that extra or if you should just save up and go for a much more expensive graphics card if you really want a big upgrade now I have another camera set up here to my right so that you guys can see what’s going on on the screen now right now we’re playing for tonight and I’ve got this at all medium settings and we’re gonna go ahead and just jump in and kind of see how this Verizon apu does now if you guys saw my last video where we were benchmarking it obviously the performance of this 2400 G’s it’s pretty impressive for dedicated graphics on your processor you know it hasn’t really been anything up until this point where you couldn’t play on like Intel integrated graphics to have any kind of reasonable performance whatsoever so right now as you see we’re dropping in got about 60 to 70 frames per second on medium settings when you run inside the buildings it tends to spike up a little bit into the 90s obviously it doesn’t have to render nearly as much stuff so that’s to be expected but I’m gonna run around here a little bit until I get killed I don’t have any sound on so and I don’t really play for at night anyway so it’s not I’m gonna expect to do super well and then after this I’m gonna boot up pub G we’re gonna check that one out because it’s a little more demanding a little less optimized and see how that runs and then we will put it up against the gtx 1050 running these same tests so as you can see I mean the gameplay is very smooth before these came out if I  hadn’t tested them I would definitely think that this is running on some kind of dedicated graphics card because the performance speaks for itself obviously for tonight is a pretty optimized game and it runs well in just about any computer which is probably why it as partly as why is so popular because just about anybody can play it and with these new ap use that’s definitely going to be the case for more and more people because it’s a very accessible price point and it basically makes it so that you can build a gaming computer that can actually pull its own weight for a very low amount of money maybe like or so so just running around in here nobody’s killed me yet so we’ll run out and see if kind of rendering a little bit more  of the world it’s gonna drop our framerate a little bit and then if I don’t get killed we’ll just exit out the match and go straight into puppies so pretty good test there I mean that’s about between 60 and 70 frames per second consistently on medium settings when playing fortnight and that’s nothing to scoff at when you’re  for a processor and a video card so we’re gonna boot up pub G now we’re gonna take a look at how that one performs and then we will swap it on over to the GTX 1050 and we’ll see how that goes alright guys so I’ve got pub G booted up now this is playing on the lowest settings and we’re running around the starting area right now which is still loaded up in the main map so it’s just as good a test as if we were running around actually playing and since I benchmarked this same exact test in the last video that I did for this I’m gonna kind of spare you guys doing a long drawn-out test for it and we’re just gonna kind of run around the map here look at different things and you can see we’re hovering around mid 30s sometimes we get up into the 40 frames mark so it’s still fairly playable if you go by console standards of the standard 30fps obviously when it comes to PC gaming we want well over 60 but if you were someone that just wanted to get in and play it would still be possible for you to do so so we’re gonna call this one about 40 frames per second maybe 35 to 40 when you can see here in the plane now that that’s loaded up we’re getting about a little bit more but that’s because we’re not rendering anything really on the ground so we’ll call it about 35 to 40 consistent frames per second so let’s go ahead and drop in that gtx 1050 and we will see if we get better results all right so I’ve got the GTX 10:50 installed now and one thing I think it’s important to mention is that the 1050 has two gigs of dedicated DDR 5 whereas the risin 5 apu was using 2 gigs of be ram so not exactly the same thing and it’s obviously gonna be advantageous to have its own dedicated Ram but anyways I’ve got fortnight loaded up now and as you guys can see up in the bus here we’re getting about a hundred frames or so again this is all on medium settings at 1080p and as we’re dropping down frames are still saying fairly consistent but obviously things are going to change a little bit as we get down onto the ground so immediately noticing some better performance we’re gonna run around a little bit pop indoors because if you remember when we were testing it just on the APU when  we went inside we’ve jumped up to about 90 frames here it looks like we’re getting around a hundred and ten hundred  and fifteen frames per second inside and I want to run around a little bit go outside see if I can get those frames to drop some and it looks like in being outside we’re getting about 95 to a hundred frames per second so we’re still seeing about a 40 to 50% increase in fortnight by adding that gtx 1050 so let’s go ahead and switch things over now and we will jump into pub G and we’ll see if we can still get a similar bump in performance alright guys so I have pub G loaded up now we’re gonna see if we can get a similar bump in performance that we did with fortnight and we’re running around the same starting area here as we were in the first test and you can see we’re sitting around 80s high 80s in the frames per second so again another 50% bump when it comes to pub key and we could probably even squeeze high settings or medium settings I guess because this is the lowest out of this and still get pretty decent frame rates but I guess at this point guys I mean we can call it a pretty conclusive test so there we have the comparison guys it’s very interesting to see just how much more frames we’re able to squeeze out of that dedicated 1050 and I would say that a  50% bump in performance definitely warrants spending the some important things to note though in the testing is that just being able to have this kind of performance run off of a processor is cool because it frees up a lot of options for you especially right now when GPUs are almost impossible to find and when you can’t find them their way inflated in price and so being able to get a good PC for like or so and get this processor and it is a pretty cool thing because then you can go out and get a different GPU when you can find them or when you want to save up a little bit more money but for the purposes of this I think we can conclude that even a more entry-level card like the 1050 does warrant the purchase because you’re gonna get so much more performance out of it and I was really a little bit surprised because I didn’t quite expect to see such a big bump in performance just based on the testing that we got out of it the first time so this was a pretty cool little test so let me know what you guys think about some of these tests here as this is something newer that we’re trying out on the channel and also let me know what you think about this video format because I’m trying to change things around to get the best viewing experience for you guys when using the test bench and the last video was the first time trying this out I don’t think it turned out real well so now I’ve got a second camera setup so that I can record what’s going on on the screen in real time and then have this camera here so we can have the better lighting better interaction that sort of thing so let me.
