Best Samsung Tablet For Drawing

best samsung tablet for drawing

You will be ready to draw wherever you are with the best tablets with a stylus pen. If inspiration hits on a train, a plane, during a lunch break, or during a visit to your family, all you have to do is find a quiet spot and sketch with your tablet and stylus.

The ability of customization on Android tablets is well-known. When used in conjunction with a stylus, it can be an effective drawing tool. In contrast to conventional drawing tablets like the Wacom tablet for drawing, which only come with a screen that must be connected to a computer to operate, the Wacom Cintiq comes with a screen that must be connected to a computer to work. You get a full-fledged drawing system with Android tablets, which helps us to draw anywhere we want.

Even though there are many good Android drawing tablets on the market, the majority of them lack a stylus, and even if they do, not all of them have a good drawing experience. The tablet you choose will be determined by your desires, drawing plans, and, of course, your budget, so we’ve put together this guide to assist you in making the best decision.

Detailed Review Of Best Samsung Tablet For Drawing

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (Best android tablet with stylus)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+

Design.

The Tab S7+, Samsung stylus tablet, is also light, but its widescreen makes it difficult to carry in one hand. Without the optional Book Cover Keyboard Case, it measures 11.25 by 7.3 by 0.2 inches (HWD) and weighs 1.3 pounds. That might seem to be a lot of weight, but the weight is evenly distributed, making it comfortable to carry for long periods. On the upper left corner, there’s a slim camera stack and a magnetic connector for the S Pen. The S Pen connector isn’t as well-positioned or as strong as the one on the iPad Pro, making it easy to misplace.

Display.

The S7 Plus has a vivid, colorful, and pixel-dense 12.4-inch OLED display making it one of the best tablets Android for drawing. Colors practically pop off the wall, and the blacks are just as dark and rich as the LG OLED TV in my living room. The 120Hz refresh rate is the cherry on top, making any interaction buttery smooth. With bright colors and inky, deep blacks, color accuracy is spot-on. The screen is bright enough to use without difficulty in direct sunlight.

Processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ is a capable tablet and one of the affordable tablets. All runs smoothly and quickly thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and 8 GB of RAM. The Tab S7+, as predicted, can handle almost any task you throw at it. It didn’t even flinch when we tried it with over a dozen applications and three dozen Chrome windows open.

Battery.

The Tab S7+ comes with a 10,090mAh battery that will comfortably get you through the workday with some battery life leftover.

Connectivity.

Samsung also included Air Gestures support for the S Pen in the S7 Plus, as well as Second Screen and Microsoft Office integration. 5G and 4G (optional) are also available, as well as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. An accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and magnetometer are among the sensors onboard. The tablet also has a fingerprint sensor built into the display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 (Best ipad pro alternative)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7

Design.

With its polished metal edges and smooth, matte texture metal back, the Galaxy Tab S7 is a solid slab of metal and glass that looks and feels as premium as it gets. The edges are sharply squared and the corners are rounded, but it’s still easy to keep and use.

On the back, there’s a magnetic docking spot for the included S-Pen notepad, as well as a tiny camera bump.

Display.

An 11-inch display dominates the front, while the back and frame are made of aluminum. The Tab S7 has an LTPS IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz, making it a good choice on tablets like ipad pro. The screen’s 16:10 aspect ratio strikes a good balance between entertainment and efficiency. When opposed to an iPad, which has a 4:3 aspect ratio, most streaming content is created with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so you sacrifice very little screen estate when watching Netflix or YouTube.

Processor.

When we split the screen between 12 Chrome tabs and a 1080p YouTube video, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chip in the Tab S7 provided enough pep for multitasking, as we saw no lag in Dex mode as well as outside of it.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, one of the best Galaxy note pads, features a 120Hz display refresh rate that provides battery smooth motion. However, the Galaxy Tab S7’s Geekbench 5 multi-core score of 3,074 isn’t particularly impressive.

Battery.

The Galaxy Tab S7’s 8,000 mAh battery lasts more than a day in our Wi-Fi surfing-based battery test, clocking in at 13 hours and 16 minutes. The Galaxy Tab S7, iPad pro equivalent, is rated for up to 14 hours of video playback by Samsung. It also mentions that allowing 120Hz refresh rates will deplete your battery.

Connectivity.

On the right side of the Tab S7 is a USB-C connector for charging and data transfer, and on the top edge is a power button (which also serves as a fingerprint sensor) and a volume rocker. On the bottom, there’s a pogo connector for docking Samsung’s optional Book Cover Keyboard and an SD card reader for expanding local storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, best non iPad tablet, series has only one USB 3.2 Type-C port on the right, which can be used to charge or connect to the internet. This also means the slate doesn’t have a headphone socket. You’ll need to double-check your USB-C headphones to see if they’re compatible.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (Best cheap tablet for drawing)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

Design.

This cheap tablet with pen does not have a low-end feel to it. It measures 9.6 by 6.1 by 0.27 inches (HWD) and weighs 16.4 ounces and is made of classy matte grey material. Since the screen is surrounded by a mid-sized, even bezel, there is no home button or fingerprint sensor, so you’ll have to get used to Samsung’s face unlock or typing in a passcode.

Display.

The 224 pixels per inch TFT LCD screen on the 10.4-inch, the 2,000-by-1,200-pixel display has a resolution of 2,000 by 1,200 pixels. It’s great, but if you’re used to AMOLED displays, you’ll find the LCD to be a little washed out. You’ll note some jaggedness and pixilation in the text if you’re used to higher-pixel-density displays like 2,560-by-1,600 screens. The editing tablet has a good-sized screen without looking too big in the hand thanks to the low screen-to-body ratio.

Processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, one of the best Samsung tablets for drawing, is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chipset. The Exynos 9611 isn’t a very effective chipset, but it’ll suffice if you’re not doing something very taxing. The key performance issue is navigation speed, as swiping between menus, clicking on the screen to type, or opening a new app all take a few seconds longer than they should. Anyone who has used lower-end tablets or phones is familiar with this since it is simply a symptom of mediocre specifications.

Battery.

It comes with a stylus, a 48Wh battery that can last up to 12 hours, a front and back monitor, and a touchscreen LCD display. Another advantage of this tablet with a pen is its long battery life. The S6 Lite lasted 11 hours and 17 minutes in our streaming video test, with the display brightness set to 50% and the audio played through earbuds at 50% volume.

Connectivity.

On the top of the android tablet with stylus, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, a power button and volume rocker on the right side, and a USB-C port on the bottom edge. Since the screen is surrounded by a mid-sized, even bezel, there is no home button or fingerprint sensor, so you’ll have to get used to Samsung’s face unlock or typing in a passcode.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (Cheap tablet for drawing)

CHUWI

Design.

This device is fairly light, weighing about 10.9 ounces (309 grams) of this amazing drawing tablet. The build quality isn’t impressive, but it isn’t cheap-feeling or looking either. It will feel fine on the side, and I believe there are some cases available for it as well. The tablet is made entirely of plastic, with a matte grey back and a black front. It is not waterproof, and it does not support wireless charging. however, It does support fast USB-C charging.

Display.

The Galaxy Samsung Tablet A 8.4 has an 8.4-inch display that is pleasant and bright and runs at a resolution of 1900 * 1200 pixels, making it a full HD display. This improves the appearance of text and photographs. Furthermore, the screen’s aspect ratio makes it simple to read texts and other objects. Cheaper 8-inch tablets aren’t always capable of showing a complete 1080p video frame, but this one is. Cheaper 8-inch tablets can fail to show small text in some comics or magazine pages, but they look razor-sharp here.

Processor.

It has a Samsung Exynos 700 CPU with two A73 cores and six A53 cores operating at 1.59 GHz, making it a low-end performer with nothing impressive when you look beyond the basics. This makes this budget tablet perfect for web surfing, but when you get into things like gaming and video editing, which bring the hardware to the test a little more, you’ll find the processor’s sluggishness.

Battery.

The Samsung Tablet 8.4 has a 5000 mAh battery that can last for around 10 to 12 hours if you keep the screen brightness low and don’t put too much pressure on the hardware. So, if you’re gaming, you’ll get less than 12 hours of battery life, but if you’re surfing the web or sending emails, you’ll get around 10 to 12 hours, which is excellent.

Connectivity.

The right side has power and volume keys, the left has a MicroSD/SIM card slot, the top has a standard headphone jack, and the bottom has a USB-C port and dual speakers. There aren’t many ports, but there is a USB form – C charging port on the bottom, which is the latest port for charging and data devices. You can plug in your standard 3.5mm headphones jack to the headphone port on the left on this cheap note-taking tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (iPad pro alternative for Artists)

Samsung Galaxy Tab A10.1

Design.

It has a mostly-aluminum back that looks identical to that of an iPad. It is slightly thicker than premium tablets at 7.5mm, but it is also substantially less costly. It weighs 460g, which is a fair amount of weight. It’s available in black, silver, and gold. At the top, there’s an inch-deep strip of plastic that detracts from the design a little. Plastic is used here to aid the wireless antennas transmission, and it almost definitely reduces the cost of the Samsung drawing tablet Galaxy A 10.1.

Display.

The Samsung galaxy tab drawing A 10.1 features a 10.1-inch LCD with a native resolution of 1920×1200 and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Aside from size, the display technology distinguishes this tablet from Samsung’s higher-end versions. You’ll get an LCD instead of Samsung’s favorite OLED display. This type of screen has a backlight, which means that if you watch a movie in a dark space, the black parts of the picture would not appear completely dark.

Processor.

Samsung’s customized version of Android 9.0 Pie, One UI 1.0, comes preinstalled on one of the best Samsung tablets for drawing. It has an Exynos 7904 processor and a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, as well as 2GB of RAM. In every way, this squad barely makes it. There is some device lag, apps take a little longer to launch, and you can see the graphical power cap while playing some higher-end games.

Battery.

The Samsung Galaxy drawing Tablet A has a 6250mAh battery and charges with a USB-C cable. When watching YouTube videos for three hours, the battery drains at a rate that is consistent with a battery life of just under 13 hours. There are no concerns about battery life, and it will last for a good few hour of processor-intensive play.

Connectivity.

If you need more storage, Tab A 10.1 has 32 GB of eMMC flash storage that can be extended with a microSD card. Thanks to USB On-The-Go (OTG) support, you can connect peripherals like a keyboard and mouse to the tablet’s USB 2.0 Type-C port. Although a 3.5 mm headphone jack is also available, the Type-C port can also be used to output audio. Bluetooth 5.0 is also available on Tablet A 10.1, tablets like iPad.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 (Good tablet for drawing)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6

Design.

Despite having the same 10.5-inch AMOLED panel, the Samsung Tablet S6 is lighter and thinner than the Tab S4, which felt slightly clunkier. The Tab S6 has thinner bezels and rounded corners, similar to the iPad Pro, giving it a more minimalist appearance.

Display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6’s architecture is understated, but its display is anything but. We’re looking at a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a pixel density of 287ppi. Many of the panel technology’s normal strengths and limitations are present and accounted for. This is a vivid show with outstanding contrast and deep, inky blacks (HDR10+ certification included). It’s breathtaking, and the vivid colors elevate everything from film to digital paintings.

Processor.

Samsung’s One UI is layered on top of Android 9.0 Pie on the Galaxy Tab S6. A Snapdragon 855 processor drives the Tab S6. When you look at the Geekbench 4 benchmark performance, none of this is shocking. For an android drawing tablet, a multi-core score of 10,741 is outstanding.

Battery.

The Galaxy Tab S6 has a smaller battery than the Galaxy Tab S4, with a capacity of 7,040mAh rather than 7,300mAh. The Galaxy Tab S6 is expected to last 14 hours, making it a good tablet for drawing. It can easily withstand a full day of use in our experience, and it’s competitive with the iPad Pro 11. (2018).

Connectivity.

Four Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers surround the screen and sound fantastic, even giving Apple’s more costly iPad Pro a run for its money. Due to the lack of a headphone jack on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, you’ll have to rely on Bluetooth headphones or a USB-C dongle for private listening. On the front and back, there are cameras, including a dual-camera configuration with a standard camera and an ultrawide option on the back.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 (Best small writing tablet)

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3

Design.

It’s remarkably lightweight and maneuverable, even with two hands, with dimensions of 126.8 x 213.8 x 9.9mm and a weight of just 429g. The Active3’s corners have been rounded and strengthened, giving it a somewhat retro appearance; this is important to avoid screen damage when the corners are struck by a hard object. The wide bezels, which make it look more like a picture frame than a phone, are the same, making it one of the best tablets in 2020.

Display.

The 8-inch screen is a WUXGA PLS TFT LCD with a 16:10 aspect ratio (and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels) and is relatively white, with decent readability even in bright sunlight. The Tab Active3, a small writing tablet, has physical buttons on the bottom for recent, home, and back, rather than the on-screen buttons we’re seeing on most new mobile devices since it’s built to be used with gloves. Fingerprint recognition may also be achieved with the middle or home press.

Processor.

Expect nothing impressive from the Samsung Tablet Active3, as the company hasn’t gone to great lengths to build a flagship tablet. That means you’ll get the same level of output as an entry-level smartphone, but with more room. If there’s one place where Samsung didn’t cut corners, it’s storage; read/write speeds on both sustained and random benchmarks are excellent.

Battery.

The 5050 mAh battery can be replaced, and there’s a new mode that allows the unit to operate without a battery if it’s plugged in, which is useful in kiosks. The battery life was outstanding in my opinion.

Connectivity.

On the left of one of the best Samsung tablets for drawing, above the POGO pins, there’s a microSD card slot and a single SIM cardholder. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and three physical navigation buttons on the front, which are perfect for when you’re wearing gloves, and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. On the right-hand side, there’s a dedicated button called “Active Key” that gives you quick access to the applications or programs you use the most; this is useful for things like emergency calls, searching, and Push-to-Talk, among other things. The volume rocker, active key, and power button are all on the same side of the Samsung handset.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 SMT95 (Best android tablet for artists)

Samsung Galaxy Tab A SMT 95

Design.

The architecture of the Samsung Tab A 8.0, best notetaking tablet, is trendy. It’s tiny and thin, and it looks a lot like the iPad Mini to the untrained eye. The Tab A 8.0, unlike the Apple tablet, is plastic-wrapped. Its smooth back panel feels nice against your fingertips, and its rounded edges make it easy to keep, but the plastic quality feels cheap. It’s not the thinnest or lightest tablet, measuring 0.29-inch (7.4mm) thick and weighing 0.69-pound (313g), but it’s similar.

Display.

The display quality is appropriate. The Galaxy Drawing Tab A 8.0 has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen with a resolution of 1,024×768 pixels. Text may look pixilated, which isn’t difficult to read but acts as a stark reminder that you’re not necessarily rolling with the best. The screen appears to be appropriate for multimedia streaming, but text and sketches tend to be a little smudged. The slate’s brightness and viewing angles are excellent, so it should be fine to use in direct sunlight.

Processor.

The drawing Tablet A 8 runs Android Lollipop 5.0 with Samsung’s TouchWiz overlay. The skin is user-friendly, simple to navigate, and jam-packed with tech features. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot for up to 128GB of expansion. A multi-window functionality is also available on the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. It runs two applications at the same time, which is remarkable for such a basic tablet.

Connectivity.

The power button and volume rocker are located on the right side of Samsung Tablet A. In addition to the 32GB of internal storage, there’s a microSD card slot on the left that can fit up to 400GB of external storage. At the bottom is a USB-C charging port, as well as a bottom-firing speaker that handles all audio.

Battery.

The battery life is excellent. We were able to get 6 hours and 37 minutes of streaming full-screen video over Wi-Fi at optimum screen brightness. That’s a little longer than the Fire HD 10 (6 hours and 14 minutes), so it can comfortably get you through a long flight if you use it sparingly.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E (Best tablet for entertainment purposes)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E

Design.

The 10.5-inch screen is the ideal size, the metal unibody is remarkably light at 399 grams, and the 5.5mm thickness defies belief. It would be a sheet of paper if it were any thinner or lighter. Even though the bezels around the screen are thin, the tablet is still easy to grasp and keep.

First, there’s the design, and then there’s the 10.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED panel. We expected it to be decent, but it turns out to be much better than it appears on paper. The higher screen-to-body ratio and aspect ratio enhances the viewing experience significantly. Since AMOLED displays are more colorful and have darker blacks than LCDs, the drawing Tablet, S5e provides excellent clarity and vibrancy for video viewing.

Display.

The 2,560 x 1,600 resolution of the 10.5 AMOLED panel makes it look stunning in any case. And videos you’ve seen before take on a fresh look thanks to the abundance of color and life.

Processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is well-equipped to offer a smooth Android experience, thanks to its Snapdragon 670 chipset and 4GB of RAM. On Tab S5e, multitasking is a breeze; it can accommodate anything you’d like to do on a tablet at once. However, keep in mind that performance degrades over time, and switching, opening, and closing apps can experience a lag after a few months of use.

Battery.

The show’s battery has a capacity of 7,040mAh, which is more than enough for long periods of use. The battery happily lasted for five days when used for a few hours per day, using apps and watching videos. Best of all, it can be left on standby for days at a time and uses almost no fuel. Since Samsung tablets aren’t often used regularly, the Tab S5e’s ability to only drink energy increases its utility.

Connectivity.

Along the sides, you’ll find a Samsung keyboard connector, four speakers, a MicroSD card slot, and a USB Type-C charging connector. It lacks a 3.5mm headphone port, which is a disappointment.

  • Corel Painter: Not Supported.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 10.5” (Best value Samsung tablet)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 10.5

Display.

A gorgeous 2,560-by-1,600, 10.5-inch screen is front and centre. It has a 287 pixel-per-inch (PPI) resolution. It has the perfect inky blacks and bright colors that Samsung’s AMOLED panels are popular for, and it looks washed out in contrast to the Surface pro drawing tablet. It has excellent viewing angles and the screen gets bright enough to see outside.

Design.

With dimensions of 9.8 by 6.5 by 0.3 inches (HWD) and a weight of 1.06 pounds, the Tab S4, galaxy tablet with s pen, is a slim device. The bezels are smaller, and the fingerprint sensor has been removed. It’s still a wide slab of slick glass with metal edges, but the bezels are narrower and the fingerprint sensor has been removed. Instead of using your thumbprint to open the slate, you can use Intelligent Face Scan, which recognizes you using a combination of facial features and your irises. The 10.5-inch screen is the ideal size, the metal unibody is remarkably light at 399 grams, and the 5.5mm thickness defies belief.

Battery.

The battery has a capacity of 7,300mAh and can display full-screen video over Wi-Fi for 8 hours and 33 minutes at maximum brightness. The Tab S4, tab with s pen, supports Fast Charging, and it can recover 18% of its battery life in just 30 minutes (from 0%). This is a lower percentage than the S3 but bears in mind that the battery on this phone is much larger. So quick charging is confirmed, and a fully charged Tab S4 will have a full all-day battery in 3 hours and 16 minutes.

Processor.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, clocked at 2.35GHz, powers the Tab S4, Samsung s pen tablet. PCMark’s job efficiency test, which tests a range of activities such as web surfing and video and photo editing, gave it a score of 6,311 in benchmark testing.

Connectivity.

The right side of the phone has a power button, a volume rocker, and a MicroSD slot that supports cards up to 400GB in portrait mode. A USB-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are located on the bottom of the unit. Magnetic POGO connectors on the left side attach and sync the slate with the keyboard.

Software Compatibility.

  • Autodesk Sketchbook:

Buying Guide.

Finding out what features you like is one of the most important things to do before purchasing a tablet. Not all best tablets are created equal, and each one has its own set of capabilities. Here are some of the most important factors to consider before purchasing an Android tablet for drawing.

Screen.

Look for a screen with a high resolution and the ability to display a wide variety of colors on pen-based tablets. Color accuracy and contrast should also be tested. All of these variables will have an impact on how well your art looks on your new tablet.

There are two kinds of tablet screens: LCD and AMOLED. LCD screens are usually used on less expensive tablets, while AMOLED screens are used on more expensive tablets. The ability of AMOLED screens to produce perfect black colors, which increases the overall quality of colors, makes them superior. AMOLED screens often use less fuel, resulting in longer battery life.

Processor.

You can check the processor’s capacity, just like you would with a machine. This feature can give you a clear understanding of how well it can handle running multiple applications or heavy design programs at the same time. The best Android tablet with stylus for the drawing will have a screen that responds quickly and a stylus that is easy to use. There must be no lags between the pen and the tablet. You’ll be able to see what you’ve drawn right away this way.

Battery.

One of the tablet’s most significant features is its battery backup. The entire idea of having a tablet is to be able to carry it around with you. Tablets for drawing with a bad battery life have a lot of limitations, particularly when it comes to outdoor use.

Another important attribute is the ability to charge quickly. Tablets have larger batteries than smartphones, but completely charging your tablet will take a long time. The time it takes to charge a device is greatly reduced when it is charged quickly.

Pressure Sensitivity.

This is a crucial factor since it determines the width of the lines drawn based on the amount of pressure applied on a tablet for drawing. Higher-pressure styluses are recommended because thicker lines result from higher pressure and vice versa. This helps you to use a broader range of lines and opacities, giving your work more depth.

Software Compatibility.

Always check to see if your computer is compatible with the drawing apps and applications you want to use. Corel Draw and Autodesk are excellent drawing programs that will help you improve your drawings.

Design.

When it comes to important things, here’s something that isn’t all that important, but brands want to make it so. A thin drawing tablet looks and feels good at first, but after a while, it begins to affect the device. You don’t want your tablet’s battery capacity to be reduced just to make it look thinner.
